~All Played Out~ You can’t ignore what’s happening just open up your eyes Does it make you happy maybe it does. For me it’s all a surprise No joking no more venting. Oooh such sensitivity. To who’s your heart been rented baby, since you’ve evicted me - chorus- You gotta play it out before you lay it down Yeah you gotta feel your way on through I can’t explain what it means to me darlin You’re gonna find out what...what it means to you Welcome in what comes to you. Forget what slips on by If you don’t it’s gonna eat at you and I hate to see you cry cry cry You’ll be coming back around again someday I know for sure If you just open up to change Don’t ask me why it took you so long girl, for your life to rearrange -chorus- It don’t help to get defensive, ain’t tryin’ to put your life on trial But you keep building up these fences, it starts to look like a denial I try to speak your language, maybe talk a little sense to you But frustration turns to anguish when I realize we are through -chorus-

~Careless Heart~ I see you standing by the side of the road and I see it’s snowing About a mile outside of town I ask you if I could get you to where well you was going Not a word not a sound You got in didn’t say nothin, just held my hand, I kept on driving Seemed like you could use a friend I think we drove for months but it felt like days then it was over Not too much thought in how it’d end Girl you’ve been careless with my heart and it feels like cruelty You shoulda cared less from the start so as not to fool me A few months now have come and gone and I don’t feel like moving Hindsights lookin’ pretty clear That’s some kind of power trip you’re on, what point you tryin’ to prove kid It’s gettin’ kind of hard for me to hear What’s that you say, did I hear you right, I hear you say that you were missin’ me It’s just too hard for you to call But with your new man looking on well you went and you tried to kiss me Without a thought of him at all Girl you’ve been careless with my heart and it feels like cruelty You shoulda cared less from the start so as not to fool me I can own up to my part in this here ruined romance I just tried to save your heart from that burning burning burning burning slow dance Yeah, burning slow dance She was deliciously vicious no sort of confidence issues and if you granted her wishes, grew even more superstitious Hey I’mma tell you what is this so just sit down in your britches Try real hard not to fidget I’ll tell you if you just listen Step one: to break out of prison first you must have a vision And see the way that she living got too much take in her givin’ Ain’t helping no one for certain she’s servin’ words that are hurtin’ So if you learn from the first one be sure to curb what you thirst for Forget them curves that are hurtful and kick that bird to the curb Get the girl you deserve a careless heart isn’t worth it, no no nah nah no
3.
~Get Down Honey~ You’re my get down honey well there’s something you should know I ain’t got too much money, but I got alotta soul I know it might sound funny but when I get on a roll Be my get down honey and we’ll see how far we go And we’ll see how far we go Yeah gonna see how far we go Fear will get you running and the faster that you go The further from it you’re coming and the less you have to know Let me tell you something, when times are getting low Be my get down honey and we’ll see how far we go Gonna see how far we go Yeah gonna see how far we go Yeah see how far we go Unblock these thoughts that are holding me down Just talk through it it’s not quite as hard as it sounds And relate and create and reach up for the sky Debate, deflate the negativity I Won’t place my faith in the path of the storm Born with this trait and it’s been keepin’ warm ‘Til now I found all I needed to know Then you came around, we started gettin’ low Days, they’ll soon get sunny a little farther up the road What you’re takin’ from me I’ll get back when you lighten up your load We’ve had good times a plenty but baby I still gotta know Will you get down with me honey and we’ll see how far we go Yeah gonna see how far we go Yeah gonna see how far we go Yeah see how far we go

~Certain Kind Of Sunday~ Certain kind of Sunday settles the mood At first you’re feeling one way then you change your whole attitude It hits you at sunrise, you wake me at dawn Before I open my eyes, we pick a place to go and we’re gone Yeah we’re gone No need to worry I’m feelin fine fine fine Never in a hurry. Why? To rush around is just a waste of time The future looks blurry, ain’t no lookin’ behind Wonder, can I love her enough to meet her at the halfway line Halfway line Sittin’ on the runway, I’m coming to see you I know that someday soon these little visits will be through Cruisin’ down the highway, passing all the cars Now you’re moving my way, we’ll find a place and we’ll call it ours Yeah it’s ours Oh it’s ours Yeah it’s ours Oh it’s ours Whoa oh oh oh oh oh Whoa oh oh oh Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh Certain kind of Sunday settles the mood At first you’re feeling one way then you change your whole attitude
5.
~Old Boat Hull~ There’s an old boat hull at the top of a mountain By the side of the road it sits alone My mind races full of the possibles and outcomes like “How’d it there?” and how to get it home There’s something so strange about its like a fish out of water Is there something you’d change about my pace It’s that periodic doubt that I’m not doin’ what I ought to I’m sayin’ this is how I choose to run the race -chorus- I’mma do it it my own time and it’s gonna be better Everything will be mine and I’m gonna share I’ll be writin’ all my own lines and I’mma write you a letter Let you know that what you said it got me there Further down this road there’s a teepee made of tin In a big green field it sits alone Now who do you suppose, oh what kind of indian Would have a teepee made of tin for a home I guess we hold on to these strings so much longer than we ought to And we resort to strange to fit the norm Just remember all them things that transformation’s brought you It’s the chance for change that keeps my fire warm It’s the chance for change that keeps my fire warm -chorus- x3
6.
~Tarimbang (Far End Of The World)~ Oceans flat in Tarimbang don’t see no waves So I just sit and sing yeah whoa oh whoa oh On this porch of bamboo and grass, up on stilts Don’t know long its gonna last for no oh no oh Coconuts, pigs in ruts, motorbikes and grass roofed huts Feral dogs, carved out logs that we float upon. At least I don’t see no smog No oh no oh hey hey I’m at the far end of the world, so far from where I’ve come whoa oh ooo oh Old ladies and little girls work so hard, so hard to get it done At the far end of the world Whoa oh whoa oh at the far end of the world Whoa oh whoa oh at the far end of the world Take a break from my everyday, unplug my life so I can hear the trees sway Mosquito nets and wild pets, we hedge our bets with the mohawks that we shave A village wife, a rusty knife, oh this simple life, so very hard to beat yeah Where ‘wet’ is ‘clean’ the sun gets mean and no sunscreen goin’ protect you from the heat yeah It’s so hot, it’s so hot, it’s so hot, it’s so hot, yeah yeah yeah I’m at the far end of the world, so far from where I’ve come whoa oh ooo oh Old ladies and little girls, work so hard, so hard to get it done Here I look in from way outside, I can’t be sure just what, What it is in front of my eyes I take a little of my pride and ship it back to where, back to where I feel alive At the far end of the world Whoa oh whoa oh at the far end of the world
7.
Lost 04:33
~Lost~ Well there’s nothing as important to fostering a love for you Than feeling free to take a leap of faith And to know no matter where I land you’re gonna brush me off and take my hand Lead me to the light and somewhere safe I can see it when you’re talking to me so nervous you can barely breathe Trying not to say something wrong There’s something you gotta understand leavin ain’t part the plan I’m keepin you around where you belong -chorus- So tell me where the hell’d you find me I thought I was lost I went halfway around the world to get that way On to this little island we’ve been tossed And I lost track of the year, my heart and the day You don’t believe in big regrets don’t smoke those cigarettes Maybe one or two from time to time You like me for what I love, I love that you can’t get enough of Hearing how your life connects to mine It’s the innocence in your surprise when I look you in the eyes …And forget what I was tryin’ to say Maybe my train of thought just forgot to make a stop I wouldn’t have it any other way -chorus- Oh tell me where the hell’d you find me I thought I was lost I went halfway around the world to get that way On to this little island we’ve been tossed And I lost track of the year, my heart and the day -chorus-

Swamp Love 03:44
~Swamp Love~ Baby that’s the second time this year I’ve seen you turn and walk away The colder that your shoulder gets now the more that I wanna stay Spent a lifetime just thinkin ‘bout the love I almost had Was it close to being good or was it almost close to sad Girl I need your love right now Baby please, your love, somehow So hard to go on living when you’re so afraid to die Try to stay in the moment when you’re just scared it’ll pass you by If you’re holding on too tight to what you want don’t you know it’s gonna let you down All that time you spent holding on you shoulda been busy lookin ‘round Girl I need your love right now Baby please, your love somehow Girl I need you love, don’t tease your love Baby please, you love right now
9.
~Heart Is Strong~ Did you ever get something in time, right when you least expect it Did you ever have to fight so hard to save something and find out you’ve wrecked it If it’s more than you can handle just slow down and take some to reflect it Have no fear you head is clear let your love for be infectious -chorus- When you’re lost, the night is long And your dreams try to hide you from And when you’re found your heart is strong And it’s clear to see what your life is to become When it’s right for you to go explore, cherish your time and stretch it Go searching through the open doors find what you want and go fetch it Because what it is you’re looking will stand in your way if you let it You better know just what you fishing for be careful ‘cuz you just might catch it -chorus- x2

Weather Man 05:08
~Weather Man~ Home. Your body and mind it is home. The roof that we lie under, home I tried to survive all alone by turning my back to my home Grown cold by the world turning me old with no more than good thoughts to be sold Sold to the man wanting fools gold and told the world’s his if he’s bold Enough to take it at his will and litter with malls and with land-fills Willing to use it and move on til one day you’ll see that it’s gone -chorus- Change your place, change your pace Change your mood like weather can If it will be then I guess we’ll see If the world can weather man Home is no place but where you rest your bones. Sticks cannot break them nor big stones Words will be worse said with harsh tones. Can cut to the heart of what you love Above and beyond what you’ll think of. There’s no need to be mean just to hide from That feeling inside when you get close to something that gets you to home -chorus- Home. This home. Our home. Your home. Home. Take care of this home. We’re sharing our home. Be fair to your home. Home. This home. Our home. Come home. Home. -chorus-

Believe 02:26
~Believe~ Figure out if you believe in me and I’ll try to do the same Stick around long enough we’ll see if we can outlast the game I’ll never let you be ashamed, I’ll never let you take the blame you’ll see If you believe in me If you get a taste of what you like I’ll cook that food for you If you wanna go out some place nice, I’ll try to look good for you. It’s the best I can do, I’ll look good for you baby If you believe in me If you ever needed me I’d fight, you know I would fight for you In the meantime I think I’ll write, I’ll just write a song for you ‘Cause I belong to you, I’ll write a song for you Eileen If you believe in me I’ll write a song for you, ‘cause I belong to you Eileen If you believe in me

about

This album represents the greatest period of change in my life to date. It journals the end of my time living in San Diego, the end of a bumpy relationship, my first foray into world travel, settling in a new city and finding the love of my life! These songs are all incredibly personal to me and I've put everything into bringing them to you all. The variety of styles that I've put into one album reflects my love for different types of music and is a nod to some of my favorite albums that have been able to mix genres. I hope you like it!

This album would not have been possible without the 163 amazing contributors to my Kickstarter campaign and I will be forever grateful for their support.

Much love and Aloha!
-AB
